1. Overview
ZenOmm (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a meditation and mindfulness bell timer for Android. It schedules gentle bell reminders throughout the day using Android’s alarm system.
We do not require personal information to use the core app, create user accounts, or run advertising. Most app data is stored locally on your device. Data leaves your device only when:
- You voluntarily submit feedback through the in-app feedback form
- You choose to share content through the Android Share sheet, such as preset links, stats cards, or milestone images
- Google Play Billing processes purchase, trial, restore, or subscription-verification data
By using ZenOmm, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Medical Disclaimer
ZenOmm provides bells, mindfulness prompts, soundscapes, daily intentions, and relaxation or sleep-management support for general wellness. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, sleep disorder, clinical anxiety, or other health condition. Please consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
3. Android Permissions
The app requests the following Android permissions. None of this data is collected, transmitted, or stored by us unless explicitly noted below.
When you receive or make a phone call, the app reads the current call state (active / ringing / idle) to silently skip the bell so it doesn’t interrupt your conversation. The app reads only the call state (a single integer) — it never accesses call logs, contact names, phone numbers, or call duration. This read happens only at the moment a bell is about to play, is never stored, and is never transmitted. If you deny this permission the bell plays normally during calls.
Used for the bell alarm notification (with a Stop action), soundscape playback controls, and onboarding reminders.
Android 12+ requires explicit permission to schedule exact alarms. Without it, bells may be delayed by several minutes.
A short-lived foreground service plays the bell audio file. A separate foreground service streams ambient soundscapes. Both are visible to you via the notification.
Android cancels all alarms when the device restarts. This permission lets the app reschedule your bells automatically so they resume without manual action.
Held only for the duration of a single bell playback (typically 1–5 seconds) to prevent the device from sleeping mid-sound.
Produces a brief haptic pulse when a bell rings, if you have enabled vibration for that schedule.
4. Local Data Storage
The following data is stored only on your device using Android SharedPreferences and internal app storage. It is never transmitted to any server by the app.
- Bell Schedules — schedule names, time windows, interval settings, sound choices, and skip conditions (phone call, camera, Do Not Disturb)
- Soundscape Data — soundscape presets, mixer levels, timer settings, and last-used soundscape state
- Practice Data — bells heard, sessions completed, soundscape minutes, streaks, milestone state, optional mood check-ins, and daily intention text
- App Settings — theme, language, widget configuration, battery-saver mode, audio preferences, dismissed hints, and other user preferences
- Subscription and Trial State — purchase status, locally cached purchase tokens or receipt status, install date, preview timing, and billing-check timestamps needed to manage access (payment details remain with Google Play)
- Onboarding and Review State — onboarding completion, review-prompt timing, and similar UI state flags
- Diagnostic Logs — a rolling on-device troubleshooting log written to internal storage; it stays local unless you explicitly choose to include diagnostics with feedback
If you use the Share feature, the selected preset link, stats card, or milestone image leaves the app and is handed to the app, service, or recipient you choose. Their privacy practices then apply to that shared copy.
Deleting the app removes locally stored app data from your device. It does not delete feedback emails you have already sent or content you have already shared to other apps or services.
5. In-App Feedback Form
The app includes an optional feedback form. If you choose to submit feedback:
- The feedback text you write is sent over HTTPS to a Vercel serverless function.
- If you provide a contact email address, that email address is sent with your message so we can reply.
- If you choose to include diagnostics, the app may attach device/app information and filtered recent diagnostic logs to help us troubleshoot.
- That function delivers your message to support@zenomm.com via Resend (a transactional email API).
- Your IP address and basic request metadata are held temporarily in server memory solely for rate limiting (max 5 submissions per hour per IP, up to a 1-hour window). They are not used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
- The serverless function is not used as a long-term feedback database. After processing, the message is forwarded to our support inbox. Feedback emails and related support replies may remain in that inbox until deleted and may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, and keep support records.
The feedback form is entirely voluntary. You are not required to submit any personal information to use the app. Do not include sensitive personal details (e.g., payment information) in feedback messages.
Resend (Email Delivery)
Provider: Resend, Inc.
Purpose: Routing your feedback message, optional contact email, and any diagnostics you choose to include to our support inbox.

6. Google Play Billing
ZenOmm offers a free trial and paid access via Google Play Billing, available as a recurring subscription (monthly / annual) or a one-time lifetime purchase. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play.
We never process or store your card number or full payment details. The app receives billing status data from Google Play, such as purchase tokens, product identifiers, entitlement state, and renewal or expiry information needed to unlock paid features.
For information on how Google Play handles payment and billing data, see: Google Payments Privacy Notice.
7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Because ZenOmm stores most app data locally on your device and does not require accounts, many privacy requests can be handled directly on your device.
GDPR (European / UK / Swiss Users)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your data. Since the app stores no personal data on our servers, exercising these rights is as simple as deleting the app or clearing app data on your device.
For feedback data that was submitted and delivered by email, contact us at support@zenomm.com to request deletion.
CCPA (California Users)
ZenOmm does not sell personal information. Other than apps or services you deliberately choose when using the Android Share sheet, the only service providers used by the app are Google Play Billing (purchase verification) and Resend (feedback routing). Neither constitutes a “sale” under CCPA.

If you are under 18, do not use the app or submit feedback. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through the feedback form, please contact us immediately at support@zenomm.com and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
